Janar Suuster is a fourth generation beekeeper who carries on the heritage and skills of his ancestors. Beekeeping started in the family already under the leadership of Janari's great-grandfather Priidu Lakkur, who kept bees in the Sepa farm in Northern Saaremaa already in the 19th century. on the other side. It was he who laid the foundation for professional beekeeping, which has fed the family for four generations in a row. Already at that time, great-great-grandfather Priidu went with his horse and sledge across the ice in Riga to sell honey. During the difficult times when the country was ravaged by World War II, Janari's grandmother Loviise Suuster took care of the bees. After the war, beekeeping was taken over by his son Heldur, who achieved significant results in increasing the yield of honey.

A lot has changed in 150 years, especially equipment and opportunities, but the most important thing has remained unchanged over time - love and care for nature. This love and care is stored in every jar of Saaremaa GOLD.
